SMOC: South Middlesex Opportunity Council
SMOC is an organization designed to help low-income and disadvantaged individuals in the MetroWest area of Boston, Massachusetts, where Alira Health is headquartered.
Since 2017, Alira Health has hosted a weeklong summer Soccer Camp for children enrolled in SMOC. The camp gives children the opportunity to learn and perfect their soccer skills with daily clinics, scrimmages, and games with professional soccer coaches from Italy. Alira Health team members have the opportunity to volunteer and play with the kids during the weeklong camp.
Around the holidays, Alira Health team members visit the children at SMOC, donating toys, color with them, and celebrating the holiday season.

Alira Health SDA Bocconi healthcare case competition
Each year, top MBA and healthcare management students work in teams on a challenging healthcare casework, with 10 teams receiving an invitation to compete in Milan.
The competition allows students, industry leaders and Alira Health team members from around the world to connect through healthcare consulting. In addition to the competition in Milan, Alira Health produces a weekend full of presentations, education, and networking. The competition is also a great recruitment opportunity for Alira Health, allowing team members to meet and work with the next generation of Alira Health’s consultants.
