BPI West 2022

March 14-17, 2022, San Diego, CA/ Online

Join Alira Health at BioProcess International US West to learn how to improve process efficiencies and maintain product quality across all phases of bioprocessing.

Our speaker, Bill Perry, Consultant at Alira Health, will be giving a presentation ‘From Gene to IND – Selecting a CDMO Tailored to mAbs or More Complex Biomolecules’.

About the presentation:

For many biotech start-ups hoping to introduce new biotherapeutics, financing realities and other considerations require that they outsource to CDMOs the development, scale-up and manufacture of lead biomolecules that are to be tested clinically. Selecting and managing CDMOs for cell line and process development as well as manufacturing can be a daunting task. There are different commercially available cell lines and GMP manufacturers to evaluate, and it is critical to find the right partner who can achieve the sponsor’s target product profile on time and on budget. In this talk, I will present case studies in which I will explain the decision-making process that we use to help sponsors select CDMOs for either mAbs or more complex molecules. In addition, key considerations to manage CDMOs effectively will be discussed.
