This poster shares insights from a nationwide French study on patients newly diagnosed with locally advanced or metastatic non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) in 2021–2022. By analyzing national claims data (PMSI) alongside factors like social conditions, access to healthcare, and air pollution, the study identified five distinct patient groups. Although smoking is the most well-known risk factor for lung cancer, this research—done without smoking data—brings attention to differences in care access and environmental exposure. These findings help broaden our understanding and point to new directions for future research.
