Advanced diagnostics have the potential to revolutionize medical care not only in Europe, but around the world. France, for example, is a pioneering country in genomic innovation. However, despite being at the forefront, there are systemic barriers in place that limit access to these cutting-edge diagnostic technologies.

As a result, patients are missing out on high-quality care with suboptimal outcomes, and overall, health systems are overlooking potential cost savings due to inefficient care provision across the entire patient pathway. By overcoming these systemic barriers, the French advanced diagnostic ecosystem can be fundamentally reformed, creating a best practice model for the world, which would improve health outcomes and lower total system costs.

To make this shift happen, Alira Health and EUCOPE have teamed up to create a position paper outlining three key recommendations to enhance the advanced diagnostics ecosystem in France.
