Giulia Pierini has a wealth of experience in marketing and sales for big pharma. She also worked as a researcher in the Department of Cellular Biotechnology & Hematology of the University of Rome “La Sapienza.”
She gained knowledge about the pharmaceutical industry at Johnson & Johnson Medical and Bristol Myers Squibb, working in the neurosurgery, neurovascular, and cranio-maxilla facial fields, mainly in the operation room in direct contact with surgeons and patients.
She then transitioned to consulting and she has been involved in 20-plus strategy projects in the pharmaceutical and medical device industry related to multiple therapeutic areas, including R&D, diagnostic, dialysis, respiratory, and oncology.
Having worked in the operation room for several years, she is a fierce supporter of the importance of the impact of business functions on patients’ lives.

Kristen Willard, MS is a nonprofit leader with more than 20 years of experience as a health project and education lead. She currently oversees education for GAAPP, a global umbrella nonprofit supporting 180+ airways, allergy, and atopic disease organizations on six continents. Prior to this role, she worked in education, care delivery, and business relations roles at the COPD Foundation.
Kristen is passionate about improving the lives of those with chronic illness through education, research, advocacy, and awareness efforts. She has a master’s degree in clinical psychology from Florida State University in Tallahassee, Florida.

Maria has previously worked for the European AIDS Treatment Group (EATG) coordinating patient involvement in a number of training initiatives and scientific projects. She has also worked for different scientific and international organisations, e.g. French National Research Center for Scientific Research (CNRS), International AIDS Society (IAS), The Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria and The International Foundation for Science (IFS).
Maria’s educational background is in International Education and Communications.

Antonella Cardone is the CEO of Cancer Patients Europe, a pan-European all-cancer patient association. She is a Patient Advocacy Expert and Advisor to the Board of Pancreatic Cancer Europe (PCE), uniting physicians, patients, politicians, journalists, academia, and industry, and she is a member of lnspire2Live.
Antonella led the European Cancer Patient Coalition (ECPC) and served as Executive Director of the Fit for Work Global Alliance.
With 25 years of nonprofit experience in health, social, and employment sectors, she also directed the Global Smoke-free Partnership of the American Cancer Society.
Antonella holds Master’s degrees in Science and Business Administration. She has been on the Boards of All.Can and Pancreatic Cancer Europe, where she was vice-chair.
