Giulia Pierini

Giulia Pierini is Alira Health’s Associate Director of the Barcelona office. Since 2021, Giulia has focused on patient engagement, specializing in converting patient insights, perspectives, and unmet needs into strategic outputs for companies.

Since 2018, Giulia has been a consultant for the pharmaceutical and medical device industry, working on over 50 strategic projects across therapeutic areas including immunology, dermatology, respiratory and oncology and rare disease. Prior to her consulting work, Giulia spent four years in marketing and sales for big Pharma, and two years as a cellular biotechnology and hematology researcher at the University of Rome La Sapienza.

Having also worked in an operating room for several years during her experience in sales, Giulia is a fierce supporter of how business functions impact patient experience and she believes that clinical treatment and brand strategies will continue to evolve until they’re chiefly focused on patient expectations.
